Summer time is one of my favorite times of the year! So many barbeques, beach trips, and vacations. There’s nothing worse than being at a barbeque talking it up with your friends and your mascara is running
down your face. No one wants to be on the raccoon look bandwagon. I’m here to take you off that bandwagon for good! Welcome to the all express train to waterproof makeupville. Woot-Woot! It’s entirely possible to have flawless makeup, even in 90°. If blue liner and silver shadow isn’t your thing, don’t worry all of these products are completely interchangeable, just giving you the foundation you’ll need.
Before we continue, I think waterproof makeup, especially mascara, has a bad rap. In the minds of most people (a.k.a. mine) waterproof = face glue. I don’t see the need to wear it all the time (unless that is what you prefer!) but only when convenient, like for an outdoor party or maybe you want a little spiced up look for the beach or boat, which is when waterproof is helpful! Invest in a good makeup remover and your waterproof woes will be a thing of the past. My go to remover right now is the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. Squeeze some on to a cotton pad, hold over your eyes for a few seconds and it’ll remove the makeup in a swipe! You can use it for your whole face too if you wanted!
When creating a waterproof look you only want to use waterproof products, obvs. To create this blue and silver look I used some of my favorite waterproof products. A waterproof look is no different from any other look you would normally create. Do not let the word “waterproof” intimidate you! Makeup is entirely self-expressionistic. So try that vibrant green eyeshadow, girl! Go and have a fun summer! Make your makeup one less thing you have to worry about.
Step 1. Eyes: Starting out with your eyes allows for any product fallout on your cheeks to be wiped away easily before applying any face base. It is much easier to remove shadow from a bare face than worrying about messing up your foundation trying to remove glitter from your undereyes. Trust me, I’ve been there and done that way too many times.

Step 2. Face: Now that your eyes are done we can move on to that complexion! Remember, liquid products before powder products otherwise your makeup will look cakey. The products listed below are listed in the order of application as a helpful tip.

Step 4. Lips: The icing on the cake. A quick swipe of gloss or lipstick and your whole look is brought together just like that! Keep in mind, you can turn any matte lip into a glossy one with just a little lipgloss like I did in this look.
Too Faced Melted—nude
Buxom Full-On Lip Cream—mudslide
