Changing things up on this glorious Monday with a review from my fiancé. Recently the blogging bug has rubbed off on him a little and we both thought it would be a fun twist to give a man’s perspective for once! As I’ve said time and time again Conor is in the military. Therefore, he has to have the regulation haircut and clean shaved face every day. It’s fair to say that as a result shaving is a big part of his life. When the Harry’s display graced the fantastic shelves of Target, Conor was like me when a new beauty product hits the shelves of Sephora or Ulta, ecstatic!
If there is one thing Conor knows and loves, it is a dependable razor. He has been able to devote a lot of time to give a full unbiased review of the Harry’s line compared to the many other brands he has used in the past. And hey, men’s razors can be used for women too! Truth be told, I usually like a men’s razor anyway and they’re usually cheaper. Back to business.
Harry’s is fully run and operated internally. They have their own factory where they produce their products and package them for shipping. In other words, nothing is sent around. Factory to store or factory to your door! Moment of silence for that rhyme…and we’re done. Fun fact: Harry’s is actually $2 cheaper than the leading competitor brands! (According to their website stats). In Target, Harry’s is $9.99 for a razor and 2 blades. The overall design is supposed to be a modern and simple with blades that will not irritate the crap out of your skin. Fun fact #2: They have their own monthly subscription plan! You can get the razor, shaving gel, and a travel cover in your initial kit and then choose between the extra blades plan or blades and shaving gel plan. From someone who has subscribed to subscription boxes in the past, you can get pretty good deals! AND it’s a present in the mail each month! Obviously though you can always purchase Harry’s from the store as well.
*We are not entirely sure if Harry’s is exclusive to Target. However, we have looked in other stores like WalMart and have not found them so it is safe to say a soft yes on that regard.
Conor’s review: “Being in the Military, I’ve had to do a lot of razor shopping. Previously I used the Gilette Fushion. It got the job done but it left a lot of irritation. Once I started to use Harry’s I saw an immediate difference. For one there wasn’t any more irritation. The razor glides very smoothly and doesn’t pull or skip. With other razors the blades would dull in a week or two but with Harry’s one blade can easily last me 30 days. That alone was enough to have me hooked. The shaving gel is also very nice. It comes out of the canister as a gel but once rubbed on the face it foams up as regular shaving cream would. With the Gilette Fushion, I was spending twice the amount on razors and shaving cream with the twice the irritation. With Harry’s I am saving money and still getting an awesome shave. I haven’t subscribed to the monthly packages but I do by the extra pack of blades at Target. You get 4 extra blades in an easy to store travel case. I really cannot think of anything negative about this product. In fact, I’ve recommended it to other guys in my battalion.”
We both hope you’ve found this review helpful! I think it is important to include that Conor is the one who actually set up and took all the pictures for today’s post as well! True blogging fan. Maybe he will have to do more guest reviews in the future ?
