It’s Wednesday! Half way through this week, thank goodness. By the halfway mark of the week are you just so sick and tired of washing your hair every day? Or if you live in NY like me then maybe you’re just tired of freezing your butt off every morning because you have to leave the house with wet hair. I mean who wakes up early enough to make sure they have ample time to do their makeup, put together a killer outfit, eat breakfast, walk the dog, become a ninja AND wash their hair? I for one do not. I like to sleep until the last possible second. Even then I’ll lay in bed and tick things off in my head that aren’t super important. Do I really need granola in my yogurt? Nope. 5 more minutes of sleep.
One of the best ways that I sneak those extra couple of minutes of sleep in is by not washing my hair. I know, I know “ew Alex always has oily hair.” I assure you I do not! Dry shampoo is the best hair product to possibly ever grace the haircare shelves. Whatever genius came up with it, my hat is off to you with my 2nd and 3rd day hair!
If you remember, I have very thick dark curly hair. Dry shampoo normally comes in an aerosol. When you spray the product on your roots and work it in to your hair, it sucks up all the oil and leaves your hair feeling refreshed and non-greasy! Quite honestly a miracle! However, if you have dark hair like me sometimes dry shampoo isn’t your best friend. That is because most dry shampoo sprays are white and they can leave a white cast on darker hair. No Bueno. I was not a fan of dry shampoo at all for that very reason until I found Batiste!
Batiste Dry Shampoo is a drugstore brand of hair products. They have really super cute packaging and their dry shampoo is one of my favorites that I have ever tried. Not to mention their price point of $5.99 is not going to break the bank. However, the best part is they make tinted dry shampoos! Instead of the dry shampoo being your typical white color they have brunette, blonde, and red tints! You won’t have to worry about a white cast on your hair anymore or any product showing up on your hair. Everything blends so seamlessly and your hair in return gets a ton of volume and all the oil is gone. Batiste also has their regular dry shampoo (with the white spray) in a variety of scents. Why spend an arm and a leg on dry shampoo when you can purchase this bad boy in your hair color for $6?! Save some money and press snooze (again and again). It’s an all around win! If dry shampoo can work for my thick dark hair, it can most definitely work for you as well!
