If you’re not really super in to makeup you probably haven’t experimented with brands other than those that are within the walls of Sephora, Ulta, or the drugstore. Perhaps you aren’t aware of these other brands all together. And that is totally okay! I’m going to grace your existence with some non-traditional makeup knowledge.
I’m an online shopping-aholic. I love ordering things and having it arrive at my doorstep. Therefore, when I discovered brands like Makeup Geek I couldn’t help but have package after package delivered to my doorstep. Makeup Geek is an indie makeup brand. It was started by a beautiful YouTuber named Marlena or MakeupGeek on YouTube. Makeup Geek initially started with just eyeshadow and has grown into an empire of eyeshadows, eyeliner, blush, bronzers, brushes etc. The shadows are crazy quality and at such a reasonable drugstore price ($6 a pan)! [Foiled shades are $10 a pan.] That’s why when I was scrolling through Instagram and came across the Autumn Glow Bundle ($49) I had to have it!
We’re right in the middle of October; the fall season is officially thriving. This bundle screams fall at the top of its lungs! The bundle comes with three foiled shadows and six signature matte shadows. If I’m not mistaken, I believe some of these foiled shades were specifically made for this bundle. The pigmentation of the foiled shadows is crazy! The swatch picture of them is with two swipes of color and no primer. Putting them on my lid was so effortless and easy. They are very easy to work with. If you want a deeper pigment and lasting power, you can always wet your brush with a setting spray before dipping into the shadow! My personal favorite is Curtain Call. It’s such a beautiful cranberry shade. It’s not my usual go to shade but I love it for this time of year. If you have deep brown eyes like me, this is a must for your collection! The matte shades in this palette are very nice as well. They are buildable so you can get them to the intensity that you want.

What I love most about this bundle is that all nine shades together can be used to create a look. You have your transition shade, a matte vanilla-ish shade for highlighting and a deeper brown to deep up the outer v of your eye look. The only thing I wish this bundle had was a matte black. However, the deep chocolate brown is a nice compromise. Also, I wish this bundle came with a z-palette. The shadows come individual magnetic pans and are a pain to store if you don’t have a z-palette. You can buy the Makeup Geek z-palette online or I’ve linked some I’ve found on Amazon. Z-palettes are perfect for creating your own palette or storing individual shadows like these!
I think this bundle is definitely worth the money! If you only want some of the shades and not all you can buy them separately. However, the bundle itself will save you $17 instead of buying them all individually!
